BABB User Guide

There are a few things that you need to do before you can get the full benefits from the BABB Platform, but don’t worry, we’ve got some step-by-step instructions for you.

  1. Create an account

    1. Enter your email address
    2. Choose a password – ensure it includes 1 uppercase letter (A-Z) and; 1 numeric character (0-9)
    3. Confirm your password (ensure the entry matches your password entered above)
    4. Click Accept T&Cs, Privacy Policy and that you’re not from a restricted county.

    If you already have an account, please use the ‘Log-in’ link at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Enter your confirmation code

    Once you have created your account, we will send you a 6-digit confirmation code to the email address you signed up with. Please enter the code.

    If you haven’t received a confirmation code within 10 minutes, simply click ‘Resend confirmation code’

  3. Create your profile

    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Mobile number
    4. Click continue
  4. Verify your mobile number

    1. We will send you a 6-digit verification code to confirm your mobile number. Please enter it here.
    2. Click continue
  5. Enter your address

    1. House number/Name
    2. Zip/Postcode
    3. Country (select from drop-down menu)
    4. Click save
  6. Verify your account (KYC)

    We need to confirm your identity by performing a KYC (know-your-customer) check before you can carry out activities on the BABB app, but it couldn’t be simpler.

    Please have your passport or ID ready to scan

    1. Navigate to your profile (header icon, top-right of screen)
    2. Click verify my account
    3. Follow the KYC Bot instructions

    Once you have completed the KYC Bot’s instructions your submission will be reviewed and either accepted or rejected – you should know in under 10 minutes, but average time to process is under 5.

    Note: Image quality will impact whether your submission is automatically processed or a manual review will be required – please ensure the highest quality submission possible.

  7. Set up your PIN

    At BABB, your safety and security is our primary objective. Before being able to send/receive, you have to set up a PIN to help keep your account secure.

    1. Navigate to ‘More’ button – bottom right of screen
    2. Toggle ‘PIN’ to ‘On’ position
    3. Click ‘Get started’
    4. Enter your 4-digit PIN
    5. Confirm your 4-digit PIN
  8. Set-up Touch ID / Facial (Optional)

    You may wish to enable Touch ID or Facial recognition to save having to enter a PIN each time you open the BABB App.

    1. Navigate to ‘More’ button – bottom right of screen
    2. Toggle ‘Touch ID’ to ‘On’ position
  9. Topping up your account

    You can top up your account in one of three ways:

    1. Share your unique BABB QR Code
      1. Navigate to ‘My BABB’ screen
      2. Click ‘Receive’ arrow
      3. QR Code appears ready to be scanned.
    2. Share your BABB ERC-20 wallet address
      1. Navigate to ‘My BABB’ screen
      2. Click ‘Receive’ arrow
      3. Click ‘Copy’
      4. Paste where you would like to share, directly from your phone
      5. Click ‘Share’
        1. Select which native phone channels you have set-up and would like to share through (Messages, Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram etc)
    3. Top up by credit or debit card
      1. Navigate to ‘My BABB’
      2. Click ‘+’ button beside your account balance
      3. Enter the amount you’d like to top up in GBP, EUR or USD
      4. Click ‘Top up’. Review and confirm amount
      5. Follow on-screen instructions
  10. Connect with Friends & Family

    We’re not just lowering barriers to financial inclusion; we’re connecting people across the globe.

    To find your friends and family:

    1. Navigate to ‘Fundraising’ screen
    2. Click the ‘Search’ icon (top left)
    3. Select ‘Users’
    4. Search for their name

    Note: If your friends/family have not completed the KYC process (verify profile), then they will not be visible in the search function.

  11. Sending Tokens

    1. Navigate to ‘My BABB’ screen
    2. Click ‘Send’ arrow
      1. Select a connection to send to
        Note: If you don’t have any connections, you can search for them by navigating to ‘Fundraising’ > Search Button > Users > Enter name
      2. Select ‘Send to a wallet address’
        1. Enter send amount
        2. Enter/Paste Wallet address you’re sending to or click the QR scan icon to scan a wallet QR code.
  12. Receiving Tokens

    1. Navigate to ‘My BABB’ screen
    2. Click ‘Receive’ arrow
    3. Option 1 – Click ‘Copy’
      1. Paste where you would like to share, directly from your phone
    4. Option 2 – Click ‘Share’
      1. Select which native phone channels you have set-up and would like to share through (Messages, Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram etc)
  13. Donating

    1. Open BABB on your device
    2. Select the fundraising icon
    3. Scroll down to see all fundraising campaigns
    4. Select the blue donation button for the campaign you want to donate to
    5. Select the BAX drop down to choose the digital currency you would like to donate in
      1. Choose BAX, BTC or ETH to make your donation
      2. Tap into the 0.00 area and choose how much you would like to donate
      3. The fiat currency conversion is displayed
      4. Select continue
      5. Confirm your donation contribution
      6. Tap the donate button to make your donation.
  14. Creating a fundraiser

    Team BABB has worked hard to make things easy. Creating a fundraiser on the BABB app gives you instant access to a global audience who can donate without paying a donor fee.

    1. Open BABB App on your device
    2. Select the fundraising icon
    3. Select My campaigns
    4. Select Add new campaign
    5. Select campaign type, public or personal
      1. Public: raise funds for a public cause (i.e. natural disaster)
      2. Personal: raise fund for a personal cause (i.e. medical treatment)
    6. Build your campaign
      1. Add a photo that represents your campaign
      2. Select a meaningful campaign name, this will be used to share on social media channels
    7. Add a description that explains your cause, this will be used to share on social media channels
    8. Set campaign target, how much are you aiming to raise
    9. Set campaign finish date
    10. Add campaign location
    11. Select campaign type
    12. Submit for review.
